As many of you, I have been through the ups and downs of love and relationships… && when things are at its lowest you wonder ‘why me? why?’… but through the hurt and pain you will see why when someone comes along and it makes everything make sense…
Just because the last one didn’t treat you right doesn’t mean that the next one will… You have to be open to the possibility that there is someone out there that will treat you the way that you deserve… Don’t hold someone back because of what someone is the past has done… Be cautious but don’t let a good one get away because of past mistakes…
I’m happy that my man came into my life (again) when he did… because of past experiences, I am able to fully appreciate everything he does for me!

Its been a while since I have officially been in a relationship, but with the ‘blast from the past’ its got me thinking about changing that…But am I truly ready for everything that it brings? I’m enjoying the ability to do whatever it is I want to do without having any consequences… but I’m missing having that person to share my day with…. I miss being the center of someone’s world… being #1… With some of the ‘situations’ that I’m in, I am not the main person in their lives… I’m not the one person that they want to talk to before their go to sleep or when they wake up… I’m not the apple of their eye… BUT this guy from back in the day knows me inside and outside… he wants to be in company… he wants to be there for me… he wants to be with me and only me… He’s a great guy… stand-up type dude… hard-worker… goal-oriented… caring… supportive… a great listener… understanding… a breath of fresh air… A guy like this I should be all him right?! I know… I mean I like him… and I like where things are and the possibility of our future… someone that’s looking for more than just a friend with benefits… but am I ready to give up the single life? Am I ready to open myself completely to another man? Am I ready for all this? I think that I am… with the lack of solidness from my other situations… and the work and time that he is putting into me… into a future us… I may have to let them go… and give in to him….
Time will tell right…? I can’t wait forever by the phone for one’s call… or continue to suffer for the next girl’s mistakes… or constantly be put on the back burner while you ‘handle your business’…. or be second best…

After months and months of planning [and spending] one of the biggest days of Cora and Ras’ life is now over….
On Saturday, May 1. 2010, two individuals became one… and I was there to witness the entire day first hand.
When Cora asked me to be apart of her wedding party, I did not know all that it entitled but was excited about the journey that I was going to be on. From picking a dress and shoes, to listening and talking with the bride to be about her plans, planning a bridal shower, and then being asked to be Maid of Honor… what an experience I’ve had. The time, effort, and love that I put into everything was worth it all.

Hearing from a mother that the things that I did were not in vain, but likely appreciated felt good [each time we talked...] My kindness and thoughtful was seen and its something that would make me smile from ear to ear…
This “gig” was not easy… it was alot of work! I was there for Cora whenever need be… holding her dress, helping her into her dress, fixing her something to drink, fixing her hair, fanning her to cool her down from the hot, talking with her and reminiscing about the things that we have been through… all that and everything in between.
At the end of the day, everything turned out great… and we looked great too!

Eric Roberson touches on a very interesting topic of love… that is secret lovers–two people that are secretly in love with someone else even though they are in a relationship with someone else…
I can honestly say that I was in a similar sitaution [without me having someone else because I am NOT a cheater!] && it was intense… now to think about it, I was the other woman… [that's not the same as this then... hmmm...] but I can see how hard it could be… to be with someone that truly care about, but have such an attraction for someone else. Sometimes its not something that you can foresee… && being in that type thing makes you question everything….with your current love, your secret lover, and yourself.
I believe that the major cause of this is one’s history with their ‘main boo’… they have been together soooo long, they have been through this and that, etc. etc. etc…. but when is your comfort level with someone overweigh your true feelings??
I don’t know… maybe I’m wrong for saying that… maybe not, but I think that when you start looking outside of your relationship for something other than what you have or what you are getting… its time to reevaluate things… talk with your current partner, let them know how you are feeling and see if you two can work things out…. before you start “dealing” with someone else…
